ID-Card and Extended Background Check

Is your company already registered at Billund Airport?

If no, you first have to apply for your company to be registered. You can apply right here.

If yes:

Your company must conduct internal ID- and CV-verifications on your employees.
Your company must apply for ID-Cards on behalf of your employees.
Your company must apply for Extended Background Checks at the Office of the Administrative Centre of the Danish Police on behalf of your employees.

ID- and CV-verification

Your company must conduct an internal ID- and CV-verification for each employee applying for an ID-Card for Billund Airport.

Apply for ID-Cards

Your company must apply for an ID-Card for each employee whom needs access to Billund Airport's restricted area (Airside).

How to apply for an Extended Background Check

To obtain an ID-Card for Billund Airport, the company in question must apply for an Extended Background Check at the Office of the Administrative Centre of the Danish Police for each employee whom needs an ID-Card for Billund Airport.

Terms and Prices

ID-Card + e-learning Security Awareness Course: DKK 210.
Expired ID-Card (not returned to Billund Airport): DKK 600.
Lost ID-Card: DKK 600.
Temporary ID-Card: DKK 100.
Vehicle Pass: DKK 100.
Driving Course K0, K1, and K2 + e-learning Driving Course Awareness: DKK 500.
Driving Course K3, Basic Course*: DKK 1.600.
Driving Course K3, Recurrent training: DKK 500.

* The listed price includes a Danish language test if the participant does not already hold a Radio Certificate (N-BEG/N-JOR).

All prices are excluding VAT.

Your company will be invoiced per applied ID-Card and per any applied Driving Permit (K0, K1, or K2). We kindly request that the ID-Card is collected as soon as possible.

Please note, an ID-Card application is valid for 4 months from the date it is received in our inbox. After 4 months, the application will be permanently deleted, and a new application will be required. In addition, all courses must be completed again.

Where to collect ID-Cards?

ID-Cards are issued by the HR Department at Billund Airport's administration building.

The HR Department at Billund Airport can be found at the western end of the parking garage on the 1^st floor (facing the Airport Hotel). Do not enter the car park itself but instead enter the building in the gable opposite the departure terminal.

Parking is free for a maximum of 1 hour at P3, which is right next to the parking garage (see the picture below). The red box marks the entrance to the HR Department at Billund Airport.
